The 8th India-EU Business Summit, jointly organized by CII and FICCI in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, is being held on 29th November 2007 at 1000 hrs at Hotel Maurya Sheraton, Kamal Mahal, Sardar Patel Marg, New Delhi.
The Association of Portugal Industries (AIP), the European Business Group (EBG) and Business Europe are the European partners in co-organizing this Business Summit.
The Opening Plenary at 1200 hrs would be addressed by Mr Kamal Nath, Minister for Commerce & Industry; Mr Peter Mandelson, Commissioner for External Trade, European Union; Dr. Basilio Horta, President of the Portuguese Development Agency; Mr. Philippe de Buck, Secretary General, Business Europe and Mr. Gomes Esteves, Vice President AIP-CE and CIP representative.
The Summit would focus on the following areas of concern: Services and Trade: Developing Synergy through Technology & Innovation; Public Private Partnership: A way for Economic Growth; Global Warming: Climate Change and Energy Security and Infrastructure and Logistics: Building Sustainable Partnerships
Mr. Jose Socrates, Prime Minister of Portugal, Mr. Kamal Nath, Minister of Commerce & Industry and Mr Jose Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission, will address a Closing Plenary at 1615 hrs.
