The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises mulls taking help of business partners for entrepreneurship training.
NIESBUD has prepared a new scheme under which Entrepreneurship Development Programmes will be organised throughout the country in association with Partner Institutions.
This was stated by the Union Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Shri Mahabir Prasad while chairing the Governing Council Meeting of NIESBUD.
The Minister said under this programme, the people residing in remote areas of the country will be able to derive the benefit of expertise from NIESBUD through Video Conferencing.
Shri Mahabir Prasad said, in 2006-07 NIESBUD arranged 90 Training Programmes and imparted training to 2178 persons. Besides, the 'cost recovery' rate has also been enhanced from 67% to 90% which is a step forward towards self-reliance.
Keeping in view the ever-increasing requirements of the country in this field, the Minister urged NIESBUD to take its Training Programmes to remote and underdeveloped village areas of the country in collaboration with other organisations.
The Minister informed that considering the immense potential of readymade garments and textile industry in the National Capital Region, a Textile incubator has been established in the premises of NIESBUD at NOIDA.
