Mr. Rahul Mehta, President-CMAI & Vice President-Asian Apparel Federation informed that under Apex Awards, film personalities were included this year. Next year, it was planned to include best dressed awards in sports & politics.
Amongst the prominent film personalities present were Mr. Sunil Shetty, Mr. Jackie Shroff, Mr. Mithun Chakravarty, Ms. Meghna Naidu etc.
Asian Apparel Federation & CMAI had organized 2nd Asian Apparel Conference on the same day at the same venue. Hence, Heads of Garment Manufacturers' Association of 10 Asian countries were also present during the Apex Award 2007 night.
CMAI had tied up with Technopak, the world renown consulting firm, to provide knowledge support & market research to strengthen the core objective to recognize the best in apparel industry for Apex Awards.
The awards were selected by a board of independent jury, which included Ms. Meher Castilino, Mr. Anil Biyani, Mr. Shrikhande, Dr. Hirji Nagarwalla, Ms. Falguni Zaveri, Ms. Krishna Mehta, Ms. Anita Dongre, Mr. C.K. Nair, etc.
