Recognizing the importance of standards to economic growth and competitiveness, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in partnership with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has decided to establish a comprehensive and transparent arrangement for cooperation on Standards with American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to support Industry in both India and the US.
CII-BIS-ANSI Cooperation on Standards, Conformity Assessment and Technical Regulations (SCATR): Facilitating Indo-US Trade on 20th December 2007 at 1330 hrs at Hotel Taj Mahal, Villa Medici, Mansingh Road, New Delhi.
CII will be signing MoU with ANSI and BIS at 1445 hrs.
Dr. S N Dash, Principal Adviser, Industry, Planning Commission; Mr. Yashwant Bhave, Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs; Mr. Dale Tasharski, Deputy Senior Commercial Officer, Foreign Commercial Service, US Emabssy and Mr. Joe Bhatia, President and CEO, American National Standards Institute, will address the Inaugural Session.
