Small Industries Development Orgnaisation, National Small Industries Corporation Limited, Khadi & Village Industries Commission, and the Coir Board will organize National Expo of Small, Agro & Rural Industries at New Delhi.
A National Expo of Small, Agro and Rural Industries is to be held from 26th to 29th September 2005 at Ashok Hotel, Chanakya Puri, New Delhi under the aegis of the Ministry of Small Scale Industries and Agro and Rural Industries. The four-day Exposition will highlight various export oriented innovative products from different States and Union Territories.
One hundred and forty Units from all States/UTs will be participating in the Expo, focusing on export and innovation. It will remain open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on all four days. Seminars on various themes pertaining to SSI & ARI and Multi-Media presentations on schemes for assistance of small, agro and rural industries will be the other attractions of the Exposition. Special counters for publications and CDs etc. will also be set up.
The exhibits will include electrical and electronics, general engineering, garment and hosiery, handicraft and leather, cane and bamboo, stationary and allied items, agro and food products, coir carpets and mattresses, Ayurvedic and other herbal products.
