The Million Pair March for new shoes for the 'hurricane victims' has reported over 1/2 million pairs donated by the footwear industry.

'This is a huge number of new footwear that has been received or on the way. Many companies have stepped up to the plate and made new footwear donations,' said Wayne Elsey, President of Kodiak -- Terra USA, Inc.

Elsey is the 'shoe guy' behind the recent Tsunami Footwear drive that netted over 3 million dollars in footwear donations. 'Using an average retail of $30, the recent efforts for Katrina victims and now 'hurricane victims' has well exceeded $150,000,000 in new footwear donations,' said Elsey. 'This is a huge number and he can't tell you how awesome to see the footwear companies all over the world contribute,' added Elsey.

Many companies have contributed like Stride Rite, Brown Shoe, New Balance, Kodiak, Lehigh, Chinese Laundry, Birkenstock, Steve Madden, etc. to the cause.

'The product is being distributed daily at their distribution centers in the region. You would not believe the smiles on faces when they receive the new shoes,' said Paul Wilson, Four Corners Ministry. 'As Wayne has said on may occasions, the experience is huge and focus on making a difference in peoples lives, the smiles say it all,' added Wilson.
