Nonwoven fabrics industry trade association INDA relocates Vision 2006 Consumer Products Conference to Denver, Colorado.

Damage and recovery from Hurricane Katrina forces move from New Orleans, but January 15-18 dates remain the same.

The conference will still take place on its original time slot of January 15-18, 2006 at the Grand Hyatt in Denver.

INDA President Rory Holmes stated that while the city of New Orleans is recovering admirably from the impact of Hurricane Katrina, and their best wishes go out to the brave residents and businesses of the area, they were advised that the city will not be in a position to host large business events for the foreseeable future.

Holmes included that it is disappointing to have to relocate from a city that has been very good to INDA and Vision attendees the past few years. But the INDA staff and volunteers of the Vision Committee remain focused on presenting a first-class Conference for the hundreds of people who travel from all over the world to attend Vision.

Denver was selected as the new site for Vision 2006 because of its ability to handle an event the size of Vision 2006, which is expected to attract close to 500 attendees, and the availability of hotel and conference rooms in the original time period.

Pointing out that three of the first four Vision Conferences have been held in New Orleans – with a one-year road trip to Las Vegas in 2004 – Holmes says INDA has every intention of returning to the Crescent City for future association events.
