Asia's largest home textiles show Heimtextil India in Mumbai

Heimtextil India, which is all set to open its doors in the country's textile & commercial capital – Mumbai, from October 10–13, 2005, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. Global textile industry is eagerly awaiting the 6th edition of Asia's largest hometextile show.
As the region's most valuable trade fair for sourcing high quality home textiles & accessories, Heimtextil India is a "must attend" event on the agenda of the global textile trade.
"With quota restrictions coming to an end, the Indian home textile industry is poised to enter into a new era of global trade. Hence, Heimtextil India is the most important business platform for the Indian textile industry at this crucial time of growth", says Shammi Nagpal, Managing Director, Messe Frankfurt India.
Heimtextil India has generated more interest from overseas exhibitors this year. Exhibitors from France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Turkey, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Korea, China and the US are set to stage their first entry into India. "Their presence is definitely going to create more impluses and influences for the domestic market", says Mrs. Shammi Nagpal. "The quota-free world sees big international retail firms flocking to India, thereby enhancing the activity levels and export performance of those companies.
International manufacturers are targeting the enormous potential of a demanding Indian market at Heimtextil India. An increase in the spending power of the Indian consumer, the rapid growth of malls and retail stores in most Indian cities, and a demand for quality and variety, ensure sound business on the subcontinent", she added.
With two months left to go, the fair is fully booked. The impressive line up at Heimtextil India 2005 includes some of the country's biggest manufacturers like Reliance Industries Ltd, Dicitex Furnishings Pvt. Ltd, The Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company Ltd, to name just a few. They are looking forward to doing business with the vast numbers of foreign visitors that visit the show from more than 97 countries.
