Italian exports are on the road to recovery

An analysis conducted by Assocamerestero on behalf of the 14th World Italian Chambers of Commerce conference shows that Italian exports are improving.

In 2005, exports are expected to go up by approximately 6 percent, in proportion to 6.1 percent growth registered in 2004, indicates Assocamerestero. Latest statistics show that in the first seven months of 2005, exports shot up by 5.8 percent against the same duration previous year.

Italy's textiles and clothing exports to non-EU countries went up 5.3 percent. In 2004, Italian exports to EU countries shot up 60.3 percent and it was just 13.2 percent to the Far East.
