National Multi-Commodity Exchange of India (NMCE), first state-of-the-art commodity bourse, has recently launched Kalyan Kapas V-797 futures at Surendranagar.
Shri B. C. Khatua, Chairman, Forward Markets Commission, attended the launching ceremony.
According to the Exchange statement provided to Fibre2fashion, NMCE started offering May 2009 contract in V-797 variety (Kalyan kapas). It touched a high of Rs495.70 and a low of Rs490.30. Its last traded price was Rs495.70.
It is expected that futures trading in cotton will prove positive for all participating market players.
