'Best island t-shirt' prize at Manukau's outdoor occasion

Manukau City Council's outdoor pools will open on Saturday 3 December, 2005. They will celebrate the occasion Totara Park Pool in Manurewa is holding an 'Island in the Sun Fun Day' between 12 – 2pm.

Entry to the pools is free and so is the entertainment which includes a sausage sizzle on a first come first served basis until food runs out; face painting; bouncy castle; and splish, splosh, splash fun games. There will also be a 'best island t-shirt' prize, free mini entertainment and mini island food stalls.

Other pools opening that day include: Papatoetoe 50m Outdoor Pool; Papatoetoe Centennial Pools, Sutton Cres; Moana-Nui Fun Pools, Moana-Nui-a-Kiwa Leisure Centre, Mascot Avenue, Mangere; and Norman Kirk Memorial Pools, Otara Leisure Centre, Newbury Street, Otara.

Watch out for other fun days next year on 4 February at Papatoetoe Centennial Pools and 18 February at Moana-Nui-a-Kiwa Leisure Centre. All these Fun Days are free, provided by Leisure Services, Manukau City Council.
