Union Finance Minister, Shri P. Chidambaram has approved 25 Foreign Direct Investment proposals recommended by Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) in its meeting held on November 11, 2005.
The approvals amount to Rs. 773.5166 crore. These proposals are related to Ministries/Departments; namely Commerce, Food Processing Industries, Information & Broadcasting, Information Technology, Petroleum & Natural Gas, Telecommunications and Economic Affairs.
The major investment proposals pertain to the sectors like Commerce (wholesale trading), Food Processing Industries, Telecommunications, Petroleum & Natural Gas and Economic Affairs.
