Need to speed up disbursement of subsidy under TUFS

Government is committed to give interest subsidy under the Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme for the Textile Industry.
The total subsidy disbursed so far amounts to Rs. 11,104 crore. This information was given by the Minister of State for Textiles, Smt. Panabaaka Lakshmi in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha to a question raised by Shri Sanjay Raut and Shri Govindrao Adik.
The Minister further stated that as per the existing system, quarter-wise claims are submitted online and based on availability of funds; the funds are released to the beneficiaries through nodal agencies/nodal banks within three working days.
