AEPC welcomes Govt decision to cap yarn exports

Shri Premal Udani, Chairman, Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) welcomes the government's decision to cap yarn exports to 720 million kgs. This decision has brought great relief to the value add apparel and made ups sector commented Mr Premal Udani, Chairman AEPC.

Shri Udani further thanked the Ministry of Textiles for their understanding and prompt action to save jobs in the apparel sector.

Shri Udani acknowledged the efforts of the Hon'ble Finance Minister and Hon'ble Commerce Minister for their valuable support in accepting the view point of AEPC.

Hopefully this cap will bring some stability to the out of control yarn prices. It will also increase greatly the availability of yarns for domestic apparel manufacturers and exporters.

The above move will certainly help create badly needed jobs within the country.
