New orders for manufactured durable goods in October were $214.4 billion, up 3.4 percent from September.
Overall shipments rose 1.4%, to $212.7 billion, while non-defense capital goods shipments rose 4.4 percent, to $67.3 billion.
Inventories increased 0.4 percent from last month, to $283.3 billion.
Value of US textile mills shipment in October stood at $3295 million for October against $3259 million in September, this year.
Apparel shipments were up at $3,416 million in October against $3,358 million in September.
Leather goods shipment for October were recorded at $479 million against $474 million in September.
