Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association (ABIT) invited the Portuguese journalist and Chief Editor for Jornal Têxtil, Manuel Teixeira, was in Brazil the last week of November.
The journalist's trip is part of a Texbrasil project program, with the support of APEX-Brasil that seeks to strengthen the image of the country's textile sector by bringing international communication vehicles to learn more about the Brazilian industry.
During his stay, Teixeira visited the Poko Pano (São Paulo), Santista (Americana - SP), Polyenka (Americana – SP), Coteminas (Blumenau – SC), Marisol (Jaraguá do Sul – SC) and Malwee (Jaraguá do Sul – SC) industrial plants.
In each one of these plants, he was received by industrial and export directors who showed different stages of adapting products to the foreign market.
In the cities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Manuel Teixeira walked the streets and shopping malls and could see how the Brazilian domestic market absorbs this production.
Teixeira was the eleventh journalist to visit Brazil in 2005 on visits scheduled by ABIT through the Texbrasil project.
