Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association (ABIT) informed that the fabrics maker Paramount Têxtil is going to participate in the Colombiatex 2006.
In 2005, Paramount Têxtil exports reached the sum of 900 thousand meters of fabric. With the objective of strengthening its participation in Latin American countries such as Venezuela, Peru, Chile and Mexico, the company is present for the 3rd consecutive year at the ColombiaTex, an annual textile product fair held on January 24-26 in Medellin, Colombia.
The event, which gathers apparel industries, distributors, buyers, stylists and fashion students for all of Latin America, also has exhibits from fabric manufacturers, yarn suppliers, fibers and raw materials, companies specialized in full package proposals, among other sector representatives.
For the next edition of ColombiaTex, Paramount Têxteis brings some novelties, such as the wool and Lycra blends whose main characteristics are lightness and multi-use possibilities, essential for the production of contemporary tailoring. The 2006/2007 winter collection for fabrics and the 2007 pre-Spring collection will be presented to fair participants.
For more than 100 years, the Paramount Têxteis Group has innovated in the national textile market as the only company in South America to produce the exclusive 150's Collezione Paramount, a cold and very ultra fine pure wool fabric similar to the very best English and Italian products.
Paramount Têxteis' fabric division produces the finest wool products like Super 100's, Super 120's and wool blended with cashmere and silk. In 2003 the company was consolidated as the only company in Brazil to produce the exclusive Super 150's Collezione Paramount, a fine high-count fabric such as those only produced in countries like Italy and England.
