Lakra Fabric eyes Rs 25 crore turnover in 2007

Lakra Fabrics Pvt Ltd & Lakra Brothers seeking a targeted turnover of Rs 25 crore by the year 2007, compared to Rs 12 crore achieved in 2005.

Ludhiana based group plans to achieve this by increasing the installed capacity by 300 tons per annum, with an investment of Rs 3 crore in technical upgradation.

Expansion also envisages enhanced capacity by 30 percent to 1,300 tons per annum, informed Dinesh Lakra, Managing Director, Lakra Fabrics Pvt Ltd & Lakra Brothers.

The company manufactures fabrics, garments, and home furnishing within the ambit of the textile industry.

Comapny has the capability to produce all varieties of fabrics with the help of circular knitting machines that it possesses.

Each fabric undergoes a number of stringent checks against shrinkage, loss of colour etc, removing all defects, informed Lakra.

Exports is considered a lucrative option instead of domestic industry. It exports to the US, Canada, Germany, and South Africa compete with those from China, informed Lakra.
