Performance Fibers informs that its President and CEO Greg Rogowski will speak at Techtextil North America (TTNA) during March 28 – 30, 2006.

CEO says that for fibers and textiles companies to survive in today's competitive global economy, they must anticipate and react to rapid-fire change.

Techtextil North America will showcase the higher performance areas of technical textiles and continue to grow and attract an eclectic collection of researchers, manufacturers and product specifiers.

Rogowski will speak to industry leaders about “Navigating the New Global Economy” on March 28, the opening day of the three-day technical textiles symposium and trade fair focusing on innovation in high performance materials, at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta.

“Today, fiber and textile companies are operating in an increasingly borderless, networked, interdependent and highly unpredictable global economy,” he said. “The new competitive global landscape includes ambitious start ups, willing to take risks, compete intensely and strategically change the game.”

Since being divested from Honeywell International in December 2004 and under the new ownership of Sun Capital Partners, Performance Fibers has demonstrated its ability to make fast decisions and investments to grow its business through a series of rapidly executed plant expansions and acquisitions over the past year.

“Performance Fibers represents what the industry is evolving into,” said industry consultant Bill Smith, Director, Techtextil Symposium North America. “It's truly a global marketplace and they are actively building for its future as a strong player in this arena.”
