World's Foremost Outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear, Cabela's Incorporated announced that it hopes to bring one of its famous retail stores to its thousands of loyal customers in Georgia and the southeastern United States.
Pending a vote on legislation before a committee of the Georgia General Assembly, Cabela's projects the approximately 165,000 square-foot retail showroom could be completed as early as fall 2007. The Adairsville store would be Cabela's first in Georgia and its first in the Southeast.
The new retail store would be located on approximately 40 acres of a 400-acre development near I-75 and Georgia Highway 140 at the Union Grove Interchange in Adairsville.

"Georgia has been a great supporter of Cabela's for many years through our catalogs and Internet site, and we look forward to bringing the unique Cabela's retail store experience to the hundreds of thousands of outdoorsmen and women in the region who, like us, are passionate about the outdoors."
The Adairsville Cabela's would be a high-volume, large-format Tier 1 store, built in Cabela's trademark style that evokes the feeling of the outdoors. Cabela's stores are known as top-notch educational and entertainment attractions, mixing a decor of museum-quality animal displays with colorful dioramas, huge aquariums stocked with native fish and a centerpiece indoor mountain displaying trophy animals interacting in realistic re-creations of their natural habitats.
