Cristal to hike TiO2 prices from July 1

Cristal announced that it will increase prices on all of its anatase and rutile TiONA and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO2) products sold in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and the Asia Pacific sub-regions effective July 1, 2013 or as contracts allow:

In North America:  Prices for all anatase and rutile TiONA products sold in North America will increase by US 8 cents per pound.

In Eastern and Western Europe, including Turkey:  Prices for all anatase and rutile TiONA and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO2) products will increase by a minimum of €175 per metric ton.  In Russia, the CIS countries and other European US Dollar markets, prices for such products will increase by US $200 per metric ton.

In the Middle East and Africa:  Prices for all anatase and rutile TiONA and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO2) products sold in US dollar markets will increase by US $200 per metric ton or by a minimum of €175 per metric ton in North Africa.

In Asia Pacific:  Prices for all TiONA and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO2) products sold in the Asian markets will increase by US $200 per metric ton.  In Oceania, prices for all TiONA and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO2) products will increase by Australian $200 per metric ton or by a minimum of US $200 per metric ton in the US Dollar markets.  In Japan, prices for all TiONA and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO2) products will increase by Yen 20/kg.

In Latin America:  Prices for all TiONA and Cristal titanium dioxide (TiO2) products will increase by an amount up to US $300 per metric ton.

These price increases are in addition to the previously announced price increases released on February, 27, 2013 for implementation commencing April 1, 2013.
