Leading retailer American Eagle Outfitters plans to invest US $55 million to further develop its distribution unit in Ottawa and is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
This expansion is expected to increase the facility almost twice its current size to one million square feet.
Company will add around 190 employees to the current 250 by next year and over 300 jobs will be created within five years.
The center handles distribution of clothing, accessories and other items to the company's 400 stores west of the Mississippi River and also has plans to start online sales.
