Put in place in late 2012, GET’s advanced wastewater treatment/recycling system has been listed as one of the Cleaner Production Demonstration Projects by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Finance of the PRC.
The patented system can process 5,000 tons of wastewater daily, half of which can be reused in the dyeing and finishing process, reducing the footprint from having to use fresh water.
What’s more, GET’s green and effective manufacturing model has also been recognized by the Economic & Information Commission of Guangdong Province.
With the adoption of information technology, automatic garment moving system and Just-in-time (JIT) production model, GET substantially reduced not only the waste, but also the production cycle time by 50%. It also helps to increase the production efficiency by 20% and the first-pass-yield to 95%
Special funds totalling RMB 6.5M have been allocated to GET by the central and provincial governments in support of its efforts in driving continuous improvement.
