Federated Department Stores Inc has decided to cutdown its staff at the east Houston distribution unit just months after the May Department Stores Co. was taken over.
The Cincinnati based firm will lay off about 22 percent of the employees by this summer that will total upto around 143 of the 650 recruits.
Company also dismissed around 120 workers from its Manchester facility and plans to discharge 23 and 1,200 employees from the Foley's units in downtown Texas and Houston headquarters respectively.
