Limited Brands Inc. subsidiary, Mast Industries is hoping to raise its exports from South Asia twofold by building more outsourcing units in India.

Mast sources reported that products worth almost US $450 million are exported from Sri Lanka and worth $40 million from India.

Mark Green, Sri Lanka Country Manager, said, 'We see India as being a balance to China.'

Green also informed that talks were in progress with several Indian textile players to set up a modern manufacturing unit.

Once these units are functional, the exports from South Asia are expected to surge up to around $1 billion.

Mast Industries is one of the world's largest contract manufacturers, importers, and distributors of men's, women's and children's apparel and is the major supplier to Limited Brands.

Limited Brands has grown into more than 3,800 stores with six retail brands and serves as parent company to renowned brands like Victoria's Secret and Bath & Body Works.
