Leading chemical and textile manufacturer, GHCL, recorded about 36 percent growth in their net profit reaching the mark of Rs28 crore at the end of the first quarter in March 2006, over same period in 2005 while the net sales rose 17 percent to Rs175 crore.
Dalmia Group Company's EBIDTA climbed 21 percent to Rs52 crore for the quarter as compared with Rs43 crore in the corresponding period last year.
For the year ended March 2006, the company reported 148 percent leap in net profits to Rs100 crore from Rs40 crore last year. Net sales improved 37 percent to Rs721 crore from Rs525 crore over the same period.
