Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores, the leading fabric and craft specialty retailer in America, is hosting a free Make It-Take It event on Saturday, May 10, from 2 to 3 p.m. at all Jo-Ann stores nationwide in celebration of Mother’s Day.

“This is the perfect opportunity for Mom and Dad to bring the kids in and spend an hour creating a unique, handmade gift just in time for Mother’s Day,” said Beth Shivak, manager of special events for Jo-Ann. “These Mixed Media Needlepoint Brooches are sure to impress Mom, and the finishing touch – an engraved heart charm reading ‘Made with Love’ – will remind her how much she’s loved.”

At the event, kids can spend quality crafting timing with Mom and Dad creating Mixed Media Needlepoint Brooches. The event will last as long as supplies do, or until 3 p.m.

The Mixed Media Needlepoint Brooches feature a variety of craft supplies available at Jo-Ann and several techniques that Team Members will be on-hand to demonstrate. The hour-long event provides a great opportunity for interested crafters to explore their creativity while making a keepsake for Mom.
