Doyen of Indian textile sector Shrenik Lalbhai passes away

Shri Shrenik Lalbhai was also known as a noted philanthropist apart from being involved in many research and educational institutes of high repute.

He was a key member in the governing councils of educational institutes like IIM-A, CEPT University, Nirma University, Ahmedabad Education Society (AES) and research institutes like ISRO, Institute of Plasma Research and ATIRA.  

Shri Lalbhai studied Chemical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and also earned a MBA degree from Harvard University, before heading to lead several textile mills under the umbrella of the Lalbhai Group.
