The new textile printing and dyeing unit being set up by MI Industries (India) under the brand MI Fabrics is set to go operational next month.

The new unit is located near the Yamuna (Taj) Expressway, approximately 2 hours away from Delhi and 1 hour from Noida.

“The new unit will be one of the most technologically progressive textile manufacturing unit as it will use latest technologies from leading machine suppliers such as Monforts, Benninger, Goller, Lafer, Ostheoff, James H Heel, and Reggiani,” Akshat Modi, business development manager of MI, told fibre2fashion.

“Its proximity to the Delhi-NCR region is likely to make an impact on the large garment export market in this region,” adds Modi.

The company will focus heavily on faster servicing to clients, zero defects, and ‘first time right’ for a large segment of their products, Modi informed.

MI Industries' new unit is initially expected to produce 1.25 lakh metres per day of fabric—main product being bottom fabric—with around 60 per cent meant for exports and the remaining targeted at the domestic market.
