Chemical company Sabic to raise production capacity

Chemical company Sabic plans to increase its ethylene capacity by 100,000-200,000 tons per year, end June 2006.
Through expansion, its crackers total capacity will shoot up to 1.4-1.5 M tons per year. Besides, all expanded facilities will be operated for downstream production.
SABIC's businesses are grouped into six strategic business units, supported by corporate departments and a Shared Services organization.
The SBU's are Basic Chemicals; Intermediates; Polyolefins; PVC and Polyester; Fertilizers and Metals.
