Ashley Development Corp., a leading property developer in Lehigh Valley, is eyeing the former Lincoln Textile Products Co. Inc. plant in Easton near the Interstate 78.
Ashley, which plans to erect a 74-unit housing complex, has $11 million plan to convert the former downtown Pomeroy's department store building into 30 condominiums and five or six retail businesses on the first floor.
Lincoln Textile, which previously operated a plant in Nazareth, purchased the 91,000-square-foot warehouse in Forks Township in 2003. The company manufactures comforters, quilts and other bedding items.
Pektor and the owner of the Lincoln Textile Products kept mum about the latest development.
