Suzanne Ewing joins DWR as Vice President of Human Resources

Leather Chair retailer Design Within Reach Inc announced important additions to divisional leadership, reinforcing the company's commitment to fostering a corporate culture based on design and innovation.
Suzanne Ewing has joined the company as Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, she will work with company leadership to develop and oversee DWR's human resources strategies, including organizational development and training, staffing, compensations and benefits, and employee relations.
Ms. Ewing, 53, will report to DWR President and CEO Tara Poseley, and joins DWR with more than 15 years of leadership experience in Human Resources and Organizational Development. Most recently, Ms. Ewing served as VP of Human Resources at Shopping.com. In that role, she completed a companywide assessment that resulted in an organizational redesign to capture growth opportunities for the company. She holds a master's degree in Counseling and Industrial Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado-Greeley, and a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Regis University.

The company also announced that Michelle Carrara has joined DWR as Vice President of Merchandising. Ms. Carrara, 39, will direct the company's merchandising strategies, collaborate on product development initiatives, and oversee the buying team and vendor relations. She will report to Wanda Gierhart, EVP of Marketing and Merchandising.
