The East India Company USA is exhibiting decorative fabrics, and designer collection of delicately hand-embroidered coats and cashmere shawls in a showroom at LVCC #63238 in the Las Vegas.

The Raj and Family Crewels collections feature romantic interior fabrics, embroidered on organza, linen and organdy, as well as coordinated fabrics.

Family Crewels highlights the textile art of Kashmir, an ancient tradition of weaving and hand-embroidery made popular in 19th century France, and eventually all over Europe.

Costly methods and ornate motifs were abandoned with the advent of power looms.

Only Kashmiri artisans remained true to the ancient craft and carried on their tradition in much the same way they did 150 years ago.

This will revive age-old skills and adapt them to the contemporary world with a vibrant style.
