Fibers – Sales revenue increased by 16 percent due to higher selling prices and higher sales volume. The higher selling prices were in response to higher raw material and energy costs as well as continued strong demand for and limited supply of acetate yarn and acetyl chemical products.
Performance Chemicals and Intermediates – Sales revenue increased by 14 percent due to higher selling prices and higher sales volume. The higher selling prices, particularly for the intermediates product lines, were in response to higher raw material and energy costs.
Performance Polymers – Sales revenue increased by 5 percent primarily due to higher sales volume. The higher sales volume, particularly for PET polymers in Latin America and Europe, was partially offset by lower sales volume for PET polymers.
