Specialty Chemicals business OMNOVA Solutions announced a price increase of $0.03 per dry pound for styrene butadiene and $0.03 per wet pound for pure acrylic, styrene acrylic and vinyl acrylic emulsion polymers. Additionally, the company announced a $0.03 per wet pound increase for vinyl acetate emulsion polymers.
The increases are effective July 14, 2006 for all specialty markets including coatings, tape & adhesives, nonwovens and construction and are necessitated by continued escalation of chemical feedstock costs.
