Costco Wholesale Corporation reported net sales of $4.48 billion for the four weeks ended July 30, 2006, an increase of 11 percent from $4.02 billion in the same four-week period of the prior fiscal year.
For the forty-eight weeks ended July 30, 2006, the Company reported net sales of $53.23 billion, an increase of 11 percent from $47.78 billion during the similar forty-eight-week period of the prior fiscal year.

Costco currently operates 483 warehouses, including 354 in the United States and Puerto Rico, 68 in Canada, 18 in the United Kingdom, five in Korea, four in Taiwan, five in Japan and 29 in Mexico.
The Company also operates Costco Online, an electronic commerce web site in Canada. The Company plans to open an additional five new warehouses, including the relocation of one warehouse to a larger and better-located facility, prior to the end of its 53-week 2006 fiscal year, on September 3, 2006.
