Ticona appoints Thomas Petzel as General Manager in France

The new General Manager of Ticona in France is Thomas Petzel. The degreed industrial engineer who took over responsibility for Ticona's business operations in France with effect from June 14, 2006, has been working for the company since 1997.
Thomas Petzel started his career as management trainee with Hoechst AG. From 1999 onward he held various leadership positions in Germany and the USA: Among other things, he was responsible for e business worldwide and later for the newly developed polymer Topas® COC. Petzel has been working for Ticona in France since June of last year, where he has served as Sales Manager, initially for the French and North African market. From January 2006, his responsibility was extended to include the Near East as well.
Ticona, the technical polymers business of Celanese Corporation, produces and markets a broad range of engineering polymers and achieved sales of $ 887 million in 2005.
