In response to market inquiries, Tempur-Pedic International Inc confirmed that it was informed last night by TA Associates Inc (TA) that funds managed by TA (the TA Funds) have made distributions to their partners of a total of approximately 5 million shares of Tempur-Pedic International common stock, which represents approximately 32 percent of the TA Funds' interest in the Company prior to the distributions.
The Company further noted that the TA Funds acquired these shares in connection with their original investment in the Company in November 2002.
