Wal-Mart eyes goods sourcing worth $600mln in 2006

Wal-Mart has said that it was going to import goods worth US$600 million from Indian suppliers this year against more than $400 million it sourced dduring 2005 through its arm-WM Global Sourcing India.
It also bought noticeable amount of Indian goods through importers. The goods sourced were home textile, apparel, fine jewelry etc.
Rajnish Kapur, General Manager of WM Global Sourcing India speaking to media said direct sourcing from countries like India, Nepal and Sri Lanka will continue growing.
