ROMANIAFABRICDAYS – October 19th – 21st 2006 edition – the leading international fair for fabrics, accessories and services for the garment industry took place with 175 exhibitors in a new location, the famous Palace of Parliament in Bucharest.
Approx.110 companies were fabric companies, about 56 companies presented accessories and services for the garment industry and 9 presented machines and equipment.
There were many Romanian exhibitors ( Dantex, UCO, Nova Textile, Dorobantul), top suppliers from Italy ( Marzotto, Cervotessile, Mabo, Mario Boselli), from Germany (Devetex, Lorenit, Global Textile Center, Hemmers Itex, Drews Stoffe), from Belgium (Concordia), from Spain (Lanitex),from Portugal (Rio Pele), from Turkey ( Akin Tekstil, Deba, Isko, Ugurteks), from Greece (Hellenic Fabrics).
More than 1380 professional visitors attended the October 2006 edition of ROMANIAFABRICDAYS fair, most of whom were garment industry professional (63 percent); 18 percent were importers, distributors and wholesalers; 9 percent were agents; 5 percent were organizations and associations; 4 percent media and 1 percent others.
Most of the visitors (82 percent) were Romanian, 9 percent were from EU (Italy, Germany, France, UK, Poland, Spain and others), 4 percent were from Bulgaria, and 5 percent from other countries (Turkey, Israel, USA).
Mr. Adrian Sudzinsky, General Manager of TTC Stoffe, commented: “The fair was great - the location, the catalogue, the organization process, everything was excellent. We had a lot of business contacts, new contracts and we are very pleased with the results of the fair”
The next edition of ROMANIAFABRICDAYS fair will take place in the same location in the period March 22nd -23rd 2007 and will include ROMANIAFASHIONDAYS –international fair for garments, lingerie and fashion accessories.
