Ahlstrom to move liquid filtration converting business

Ahlstrom, a leader in high-performance fiber-based materials expects to move its Mount Holly Springs, PA, USA, liquid filtration converting business to another Ahlstrom facility in Bishopville, SC, USA in February 2007.
Negotiations with the local trade union regarding the transfer have been concluded setting the guidelines for the severance of approximately 60 employees.
The transfer does not affect paper production, R&D, customer service and administrative functions that will remain in Mt. Holly Springs.
As a consequence of the transfer, Ahlstrom estimates to book a non-recurring cost of approximately EUR 1 million in its Q4 result for 2006.
