FTZB okays A. Wimpfheimer & Bro. Inc's textile finishing plant special-purpose subzone status

The Foreign Trade Zones Board (FTZB) under the Department of Commerce, has granted authority for subzone status for fabric dyeing and printing activity at the textile finishing
plant of A. Wimpfheimer & Bro. Inc, located in Blackstone, Virginia (Subzone 207C).

This was conveyed in the Federal Register Notice dated December 11, 2006 (Volume 71, Number 237).

A. Wimpfheimer & Bro. Inc in its application sought FTZ authority permission for only the following processes: dyeing, printing, shrinking, sanferizing, desizing, sponging, bleaching, cleaning/laundering, calendaring, hydroxilating, decatizing, fulling, mercerizing, chintzing, moiring, framing/beaming, stiffening, weighting, crushing, tubing, thermofixing, anti-microbial finishing, flame retardation and embossing.

This official order has been passed by David M. Spooner, Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Import Administration, Alternate Chairman, Foreign-Trade Zones Board, under certain restrictions.
