Goody's New Elizabeth City Store to open on Aug 18

Sporting goods retailer Goody's Family Clothing Inc is offering a fresh, convenient way to shop for the latest fashions, shoes, and accessories with the grand opening of its newest location in Elizabeth City on Thursday, August 18 , 2005. The new 27,597-square-foot store will be located at Southgate Mall. Local dignitaries and executives from Goody's corporate office in Knoxville, Tenn. will commemorate the grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Shoppers are invited to celebrate the grand opening festivities at 9 a.m.
The first 300 customers will receive a goody bag with five lucky customers receiving a bag including a $100 giftcard. Throughout the grand opening weekend, shoppers will also have the opportunity to register to win an assortment of prizes including a $500 giftcard and family vacations.

The Elizabeth City location is one of five stores hosting grand opening ceremonies on August 18. New stores in Pittsburg and Hutchinson, Kan., and Texarkana, Texas open their doors for the first time while shoppers in Tullahoma, Tenn. will be greeted to a totally new shopping experience as the store moves to a new location.
