Heimtextil 2007 receives overwhelming response

Hualon Corp (M) Shd Bhd of Kuala Lumpur expressed satisfaction after displaying curtain materials at the Heimtextil 2007.

Company's competitors were mostly Chinese whose quality was inferior to that of the company.

It produces about half a million yards of curtain material and over 300,000 yards of fire-retardant material.

Hulon's materials are used in hospitals, hotels, cruise ships, etc. and mainly trade in markets of Germany and Italy.

Exhibitors from Malaysia were less compared to Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea with 12, 34, 63 and 32 exhibitors, respectively.

India top the list with 404 exhibitors followed by China (278), Turkey (213), Pakistan (164) and Italy (157).

Presence of Malaysian companies was affected by high costs involved in the show.
