Procter & Gamble (P&G) has decided to relocate skincare production of its Nenagh unit to a new plant proposed at Lotez in Poland. This plant will begin operations by 2009 and 280 employees at the Nenagh unit will become redundant as a result.

Nenagh factory, which makes cosmetics for supply to EU markets, will retain 220 staff members to carry on production. P&G conducted an analysis to recognize top locations in Europe for manufacturing cosmetics and skincare items.

This difficult decision is taken keeping in mind current market trends. P&G has promised to help workers who become jobless in every possible way.
