Reliance Industries Ltd has been the focus of media for past few days, with rumours of the closure of Jamnagar refinery floating around. It was learned that the delayed coker unit had been shut down.
While several reported that only part of the facility had been shut down, others claimed a complete close down of India's biggest refinery.
However, when contacted by Fibre2fashion, reliable sources denied all reports.
Making no official comments about the Coker plant, the insider said, “RIL's refinery located at Jamnagar is working normally and production is as per planned.”
