Govt to consider jute industry's new offers

At the lok Sabha session, the government stated it is ready to consider new offer to assist the jute industry and turn off that it has given any directions to the Jute Corporation of India to stop procurement of raw jute in West Bengal state.

Responding to a call of attention by Prabodh Panda, CPI and others on the jute growers dilemma in the state, the Union Textiles Minister Shankersinh Vaghela, opined that the government had demanded JCI to procure raw jute whenever the market prices reaches the announced MSP.
