Retailer Saks Fifth Avenue adds more responsibilites to Thomas Matthews' profile

New York based leading retailer Saks Incorporated announced Thomas Matthews has been appointed Group Senior Vice President of Asset Protection and Operations for Saks Fifth Avenue.
In his expanded role, Matthews will oversee Store Operations while retaining his Asset Protection responsibilities.
Matthews joined Saks Fifth Avenue in 1993 as Vice President of Corporate Loss Prevention and has served as Senior Vice President of Asset Protection since 1999. He gained previous experience at Ann Taylor, New York, as Senior Vice President of Asset Protection, Risk Management, Systems and Procedures beginning in 1989. He began his career with Lord & Taylor. Matthews received his Masters degree in Criminology from Rutgers University and is a Fellow at the Wharton Business School. He is a member of the SFAE Operating Committee and will report to Andrew Jennings, President and Chief Operating Officer.

Saks Incorporated operates Saks Fifth Avenue Enterprises (SFAE), which currently consists of 56 Saks Fifth Avenue stores, 50 OFF 5TH stores, and saks.com. The Company also operates its Saks Department Store Group (SDSG) with 182 department stores under the names of Parisian, Younkers, Herberger's, Carson Pirie Scott, Bergner's, and Boston Store and 49 Club Libby Lu specialty stores.
