Polyester manufacturer Indo Rama Synthetics, who recently undertook capacity expansion at its Nagpur plant, is dreaming big by eyeing a 98 percent increase in its turnover to hit revenues of Rs 4,100 crore by 2009.
Though the current capacity utilization of Indo Rama's plant is about 70-80 percent, it would work at full capacity by September-October. This would further boost the company's market share to 20 percent from the current 16 percent.
Keeping the target of 50 percent growth in 2007-08, the company plans to clock a turnover of over Rs 3,000 crores, thereby aiming to become a billion-dollar entity by 2009.
According to sources, the company is also rummaging through options to expand operations. Apart from that, it is also assessing opportunities in power generating sector. Also, by adding 30 mw power in month-end, the company would take its total installed capacity to 80 mw.
