San Francisco based home accessories provider Design Within Reach announced that it filed its Form 10-Q for the second quarter ended July 2, 2005 with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Design Within Reach had previously announced preliminary second quarter financial results on August 4, 2005. The results, which included $41.9 million of net sales and net earnings of $0.09 per diluted share, were preliminary due to a delay following the Company's May 2005 conversion to a custom-built information technology system and pending auditor review. As compared to the previously announced results, there were no material changes.
Additionally the Company made a clarification from their August 4th conference call. For the class of studios opened in 2003, four-wall contribution was approximately 32 percent for Q2 2005 versus 27 percent in Q2 2004, as opposed to the 17 percent and 18 percent that was referenced on the call.
